Real questions we answer daily

Straight-talk FAQ.

Disney or Universal first?

Kids under 8 or a first-ever trip → Disney. Tweens/teens, thrill riders, Harry Potter fans → Universal. Most families we plan do 4 nights Disney + 3 nights Universal in the same week.

Is Discovery Cove worth it?

Yes — it's the only place in Orlando with an all-inclusive day (food, drinks, snorkeling, dolphins) and a 1,300-guest cap. Book 60-90 days out; dolphin slots go first.

Best time to visit?

Mid-January to mid-February and late August to mid-September have the lightest crowds. Avoid Thanksgiving week, Christmas week, spring break, and July 4th unless you love queues.

Do we need Genie+ / Lightning Lane?

At Magic Kingdom — yes. At Animal Kingdom — no. At Universal Premier hotels — Express Pass is free and worth ~$400/day per person; that's often the deciding factor for which hotel we book.
